WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO OWN A NINJA?

It means being part of a brand that spans more than 25 years. It means feeling a connection to racers clad in Lime Green who push the limits of physics every time they go out to compete in championships like World Superbike and Asia Road Racing. It is pride in the knowledge that at your fingertips you have performance that comes from a long racing heritage. It is the thrill that come from precision control of a high performance machine, of effortlessly slipping past rivals – on the track, or on the street. For those hard-core enthusiasts searching for high-adrenaline exhilaration, it means knowing there is only one choice: Ninja – Kawasaki's embodiment of the ultimate motorcycle experience.

Stand Out from the Crowd

With its large-volume bodywork, it is easy to mistake the Ninja 250 for a larger machine – an image reinforced by numerous styling cues from our flagship Ninja models. From its aggressive new dual headlights to its sharp, minimalist tail cowl, every surface of the Ninja 250 was painstakingly sculpted to ensure a high level of fit and finish, impressive silhouette and undeniable Ninja presence.

The Ninja Difference

Whether referring to engine or chassis performance, or the latest available technology, the name “Ninja” implies the very best that Kawasaki has to offer. In the case of the Ninja 250, it means power and torque that eclipse everything in its class, racetrack-level chassis stability, and a high-quality ride feel one would expect from a much larger machine.

Styling

Large Windscreen (Accessory)

Floating-style windscreen – like the one used on the Ninja ZX-10R – is attached using only the mirror mounts, for clean, elegant lines as well as sharp, sporty looks. As an alternative to the sporty standard screen, a taller accessory windscreen offers increased wind protection.

Modern Instrumentation

Complementing its large, analogue-style tachometer, the all-new instrument package has a multi-function LCD screen with numerous features, including a fuel gauge, dual trip meters, clock and Economical Riding Indicator. White LED backlighting ensures clear visibility at night.

Fuel Tank

The flared design of the fuel tank offers both form and function. In addition to its strong supersport image, the flared shape allows riders’ arms to stay in contact with the tank more easily – a trick that our factory racers use to increase chassis feedback on the track.

Short-style Silencer

Just like the Ninja ZX-10R and 6R, the Ninja 250 features a short-style silencer. Its complex cross-section enables the requisite volume without interfering with the bike’s lean angle. Large, stainless steel silencer guard contributes to the design while protecting passengers from heat.

10-Spoke Wheels

New 10-spoke wheel design is reminiscent of the one used on Kawasaki’s flagship Ninja ZX-14R. The high-class wheels are complemented by sporty tyres designed for good grip in both dry and wet conditions. A larger, 140mm rear tyre enhances the Ninja 250’s big-bike looks.

Single-seat Cover (Accessory)

When you want to give your Ninja 250 an added racy touch, the accessory single-seat cover is an ideal complement to the sharp, minimalist tail cowl. With colour-matched paint, the cover blends in perfectly with the bike’s sporty, aerodynamic lines.

Performance

ENGINE

Fuel-injected Parallel Twin Engine

At the heart of the Ninja 250 is its new 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 249 cm3 Parallel Twin engine. Smooth, torquey low-mid range response is complemented by strong acceleration at high rpm. Fuel injection ensures easy starting and the ideal amount of fuel in all conditions.

Performance Beyond Its Class

Increased engine performance puts the Ninja 250 in a class of its own. Superior power and torque at all rpm, a vast top-speed advantage and class-leading acceleration performance ensure the Ninja 250 rides at the front of the pack.

Sleeveless Aluminium Die-cast Cylinder

New cylinder design uses plated bores just like on our larger Ninja supersport models. The cylinder block is very lightweight and offers excellent heat dissipation.

Dual Throttle Valves

Airflow control is the key to ensuring silky smooth power delivery. A second set of ECU-controlled throttle valves precisely regulates intake airflow for natural, linear response, improved combustion efficiency and increased power.

CHASSIS

Circuit-developed Frame

New diamond-style frame with optimised rigidity offers the high level of chassis stability necessary for high-performance sport riding. Rubber front engine mounts significantly reduce engine vibration, contributing to the high-quality ride feel.

Suspension

Combined with the stiffer new frame, revised damping settings and softer spring rates front and rear contribute to the Ninja 250’s nimble handling, and enable both increased comfort for city riding as well as a firmer feeling when sport riding.

Heat Management

The large openings and fin design of the fairings help promote airflow that assists with heat dissipation when moving. When stuck in traffic, innovative technology like the radiator fan cover directs hot engine air down and away from the rider.

Petal Disc Brakes

Supersport-style petal disc brakes front and rear ensure strong stopping power, sublime control and feel, and racy Ninja looks. For additional braking reassurance, ABS models with the latest-spec, compact and lightweight ABS units are also available.
